The Bahamas' colorful capital, with historic forts, Bay Street shopping, and turquoise beaches minutes from the pier.

Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas, on the island of New Providence. Ships dock at Prince George Wharf, right at the edge of downtown and Bay Street.
You can walk to history and shopping, hop over to Paradise Island, or head out on the water to swim in that famous blue. It suits first-time cruisers, families, and beach lovers alike.

Half Moon Cay is one of my all-time favorite private islands - the sand is unbelievably soft, hands-down the best I’ve ever felt!
My favorites: climb the Queen's Staircase, carved out of limestone by hand; explore Fort Fincastle and Fort Charlotte, old forts with harbor views; browse the Straw Market for local crafts; cross the bridge to Paradise Island for beaches and resorts; spend a few hours at Junkanoo Beach, a short walk from the pier.
Bahamian dollar, pegged one to one with the US dollar; US dollars are accepted everywhere.
Downtown is right off the pier and easy to walk, and taxis and water taxis can take you to Paradise Island and beaches farther out.
